At the AIDS Information Centre (AIC), we are dedicated to providing comprehensive HIV Testing Services (HTS) that prioritize confidentiality, compassion, and empowerment. Our commitment stems from a deep understanding of the critical role early detection plays in curbing the spread of HIV/AIDS and promoting individual health and well-being.
HIV Testing Services are the cornerstone of HIV prevention, treatment, and care efforts. They serve as a gateway to essential services such as antiretroviral therapy (ART), prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) programs, and psychosocial support. By knowing one's HIV status, individuals can make informed decisions about their health, access timely treatment, and adopt preventive measures to protect themselves and their loved ones.
We uphold strict confidentiality standards to ensure the privacy and dignity of all clients. Our trained counselors offer non-judgmental support and guidance, respecting each individual's right to privacy.
We believe that HIV testing should be accessible to all, regardless of socioeconomic status or geographical location. That's why we offer a range of testing options, including facility-based testing, mobile testing units, and community outreach initiatives.
We utilize state-of-the-art rapid testing technologies to deliver timely results, often within minutes. Rapid testing reduces the anxiety associated with waiting for results and enables swift linkage to care for those who test positive.
Our comprehensive counseling services encompass pre-test counseling to address any concerns or questions individuals may have before testing, as well as post-test counseling to provide support, education, and referrals based on test results.
Beyond testing, we offer holistic support services that address the broader needs of individuals living with or affected by HIV/AIDS. This includes linkage to treatment and care services, psychosocial support, support groups, and referrals to partner organizations for additional assistance.
At AIC, we invite you to join us in the fight against HIV/AIDS by accessing our HIV Testing Services, spreading awareness, and advocating for policies that prioritize HIV prevention and care. Together, we can build a future where HIV/AIDS is no longer a threat, and all individuals can live healthy, fulfilling lives free from stigma and discrimination.
