HIV is an acronym for Human Immunodeficiency Virus. It is a virus that infects only human beings and cannot servive in any other environment. There are 2 types of HIV that is HIV1 and HIV2 with HIV1 having 11 subtypes. HIV1 is common in East and Southern Africa with short incubation period and very virulent. While HIV2 is common in West Africa with long incubation period and less virulent.



I am Namono Rehema 37 years old, a single mother of two sons who has lived as a single mother since 2000 after separating with my husband.  My first born completed S4 in November 2010 and the last born is currently in P3. I am currently working a Home for street Children in Walukuba Jinja District.

I stayed without knowing my HIV Sero Status, there came a counselor from AIC a brother in Christ who used to visit me and shared with me information about HIV.

The Untold Story


Before getting married in 1998 Pastor Osiya Stephen and Ms Nasirumbi Mary each of them had ever been in a relationship, they took the imitative to undergo HIV test for over 3 times and their test results were always Concordant Negative.
